Keep development evidence separate from lot release

A development test answers a design or sample question. Production release answers a different question: whether output from a controlled lot conforms to the approved drawing and purchase requirements. Reusing the same cycle-test wording for both decisions can hide changes in material lot, forming setup, heat treatment, finish, spring geometry, fixture alignment or measurement state.

Before a project moves from samples to production, name the evidence that transfers and the evidence that must be repeated. The approved sample may define geometry, load and assembly function.
