Custom Aluminium Extrusion Profiles

Zhengna Technology supports project-specific sourcing and manufacturing review for custom aluminium extrusion profiles. The review starts with the buyer's controlled drawing and the condition in which the profile must be supplied. Alloy, temper, critical geometry, finish, secondary operations, inspection evidence, packaging, quantity and delivery requirements are confirmed for the individual project before quotation.

This page is the commercial starting point. For a structured engineering handoff, use the aluminium extrusion profile RFQ guide, then send the controlled requirement package through the contact page.

Project scope reviewed before quotation

A useful quotation needs more than a cross-section image and annual quantity. Zhengna Technology reviews the requested supply state and identifies assumptions that could affect feasibility, tooling, secondary processing, inspection or packaging. The confirmed scope may cover an extruded profile, cut length, machined profile, finished profile or another agreed combination. No process route is assumed from the appearance of a sample.

Requirement area Buyer input Review output
Document control 2D drawing, optional 3D model, revision and governing-file rule Confirmed quotation baseline and open conflicts
Material Alloy and temper requirement, or an authorized proposal route Project-specific material and evidence review
Geometry Cross-section, supplied length, critical interfaces, datums, straightness and twist requirements Feasibility questions and proposed control approach
Secondary scope Cutting, machining, forming, assembly, marking or other required operations Clear responsibility boundary and supplied condition
Finish Controlled specification, zones, masking and visual or measurable acceptance method Finish-scope review without inferring performance from colour
Quality evidence Critical characteristics, measurement method, sampling, report and traceability needs Agreed evidence and handoff expectations

Drawing and interface review

Identify the features that protect assembly, sealing, movement, fastening, heat transfer or appearance. Separate dimensions created in the profile cross-section from cut-length and secondary-machined features. When a final machined datum controls the assembly interface, state how it relates to the as-extruded geometry.

General tolerances should not obscure the few characteristics that matter most. Mark critical features and the intended measurement condition. Zhengna Technology reviews those requirements against the actual geometry; this page does not offer a universal tolerance range.

Alloy, temper and finish responsibility

If the design authority has selected the alloy and temper, include them in the controlled drawing or specification. If a supplier proposal is allowed, define the properties, interfaces and downstream conditions that an alternative must protect, together with the approval route.

Describe finish as a controlled state. Name the specification, cosmetic zones, masked areas, contact points, colour or texture reference where applicable, and the acceptance method. A visible surface cannot prove coating chemistry, thickness, adhesion, corrosion performance or service life.

Secondary processing and supplied condition

List every operation expected within the quoted scope: cut-to-length, drilling, milling, tapping, forming, assembly, marking, finishing, cleaning or packaging. Show which dimensions apply before and after these operations. This prevents an as-extruded requirement from being compared with a completed-part requirement as if they were identical.

Where engineering changes are possible, define who can approve a deviation and how revisions reach purchasing, quality and production. The engineering change control checklist provides a practical handoff structure.

Inspection and evidence

For each critical characteristic, provide the drawing revision, feature, datum, acceptance limit, measurement method and expected evidence. If the buyer needs a first-article report, lot report, material evidence, finish evidence or retained record, name it before quotation. Measurement feasibility should be reviewed for inaccessible internal features, thin walls, long lengths and characteristics affected by restraint.

Zhengna Technology will confirm the applicable inspection and reporting scope for the project. The representative image on this page is not an inspection record and does not prove a result.

Packaging and commercial inputs

Provide expected annual and batch quantities, order pattern, destination and target timing. For long or appearance-controlled profiles, also define pack constraints, separators or protective material, orientation, label content and any contact restrictions. Minimum order, timing and commercial terms depend on the reviewed requirement set and are confirmed in the quotation.

What to send

  • controlled 2D drawing and, where useful, 3D model;
  • application and critical mating interfaces;
  • alloy and temper requirement or proposal authority;
  • cross-section, length condition and secondary-operation scope;
  • finish specification and controlled zones;
  • inspection, evidence and traceability expectations;
  • quantity, order pattern, target timing, destination and packaging needs.

Send the controlled package through the contact page. Zhengna Technology can identify missing inputs, confirm the review scope and define the next technical-commercial step. Feasibility, tooling, process route, tolerance, timing and supply terms remain subject to project-specific review.
