This actual shaft sample supplied by Zhengna Technology has external threads at both ends, a larger central section, stepped shoulders and longitudinal flat features near the ends. It is a reference for discussing a controlled shaft drawing, not a catalogue specification or a stock item with assumed dimensions.
A drawing for a two-ended shaft needs more than an overall length and one thread note. Identify end A and end B, and state whether their thread requirements and adjoining features are identical. Do not rely on the photograph to determine thread pitch, handedness, fit class or usable engagement.
| Visible feature | Controlled input for review |
|---|---|
| External threads at both ends | Separate A/B callouts for thread standard, size, pitch, class, usable length, end condition and verification. |
| Larger center section and shoulders | Diameter and axial dimensions, intended seating faces, datum scheme and any required geometric controls. |
| Longitudinal flat features | Section views, width/depth/length, orientation and edge requirements. Their assembly function must come from the drawing. |
| Silver-colored surface | Material grade and condition, finish or treatment specification, controlled surfaces and final inspection stage. Appearance does not identify these requirements. |
The dimensions, material, process route, inspection cadence, minimum order and production timing published for another shaft family do not apply to this sample by association. No brass or 1215 steel identity, grinding operation, heat treatment, hardness, runout result or load rating is claimed here.
The quotation review should establish the required supply route and responsibilities from the drawing. The photograph alone does not establish who performed each manufacturing or finishing operation.
Send the controlled drawing and revision, available 3D model, material and treatment requirements, separate end-A/end-B details, critical shoulder and diameter relationships, inspection and acceptance requirements, quantities and packaging needs. Identify the mating interfaces if they affect the review. Price, minimum order and timing require a project-specific quotation.
For the acceptance discussion, use the stepped-shaft shoulder, datum and thread review. Review the broader custom CNC machining scope, then contact Zhengna Technology with the drawing requirements.
